BENGALURU: Smart Software Testing Solutions, an automated product testing solutions startup, has acquired the technology solutions of Bengaluru-based smart mobile testing platform pCloudy.
“pCloudy is a big leap for us in our vision to create intelligent testing platforms for Apps in mobile and IoT space,” said Avinash Tiwari, director of pCloudy. “pCloudy gives us the capability to become India’s first mobile application testing platform on cloud. This has been a huge pain area for Indian app developers as they need to test the compatibility of their apps across a variety of mobile devices.”
pCloudy provides an analytics-driven platform for manual and automated testing of apps on real devices, thereby providing a one-stop shop for all product testing.
“Combined with our test automation product OpKey, we are soon launching a single click app certification capability, which will disrupt the way testing of apps are performed currently,” said Tiwari.
Smart Software also raised a pre-Series A funding of $1 million from Your Nest Angel Fund. A part of the funds was used to acquire pCloudy and the remaining is being used to build OpKey.
Rajesh Sanghi, an angel investor, also contributed to this fund. Smart Software was cofounded by Pankaj Goel and Lalit Jain along with Avinash Tiwari. Before acquiring pCloudy, the Smart Software leadership team had created CresTech Software Systems in 2006.
In addition to serving the Indian market, pCloudy’s expansion plans include catering to APAC region by 2017.
