Amagi, a Bangalore-based SaaS technology company specialising in broadcast and connected TV, has announced the acquisition of Argoid AI, a company developing AI tools for content recommendation and programming automation for OTT platforms.
Argoid AI’s solutions include algorithms designed for real-time programming decisions and content recommendations. These tools aim to improve channel operations and increase viewer engagement. Through the acquisition, Amagi will integrate these algorithms into its offerings, including Amagi NOW and CLOUDPORT, to enable more advanced content scheduling and automation.

The acquisition includes the addition of Argoid AI’s engineering team and its founders, Gokul Muralidharan, Soundararajan Velu, and Chackaravarthy E, who will contribute to Amagi’s future development plans.
